ADDITIONAL RESOURCES: Women Who Have Lost a Mother

I first learned about Hope Edelman's book when I met a woman, in her 40s, who had lost her mother when she was 15 years old. This woman said that Edelman was the first person who really identified what is was like to lose a mother so young. I highly recommend these books to anyone who has lost a mother; you may find that you are not alone in your feelings. al understanding of the feelings and experiences you may have when grieving the loss of a loved one.
